Detox Water

Ever heard of Detox Water?

Lets understand toxins first and then get to the detox part of it.


A toxin is anything that damages our body. It can be from food, air, radioactivity, water, etc. Our body has five detox organs- Skin, Lungs, Kidneys, Liver and the intestines. These organs help to pull out the toxins from our body. More intake of water helps these organs to flush out the toxins more easily.

Detox Water or Infused water is combinations of fruits, vegetables immersed in cold water. The flavor and goodies of these fruits and veggies gets infused in the water and help to detox the toxins from our body and hence it is called Detox/Infused water.

Benefits of Detox Water:

1. It helps to flush out toxins from our body
2. It improves your mood
3. Flavored water can increase the intake of water
4. It keeps the food moving into the body
5. It keeps the organs and the body healthy
6. It reduces fatigue and keeps your fresh
7. It can help in weight loss although many people have different opinions about this.
8. Plus it tastes amazing!!

How to make Detox Water:

I will share with you all a very simple detox water recipe which I generally use in my daily routine:

Ingredients:
1.Water
2.Lemon Slices
3.Cucumber Slices
4.Pieces of Ginger
5.Fresh  Mint Leaves

Steps:

1. Take two to three glasses of water. Remember the other ingredients to be added in this can be reduced or increased depending upon the quantity of water you take to make it.

2. To this water, add 3 to 4 slices of Lemon and cucumber each, 5 to 6 mint leaves and crushed pieces of ginger.

3. Store this infused water in the Fridge at night.

4. Drink the same in the morning or you can keep drinking it throughout the day if you have made a large quantity of it.

5. And keep adding water to it through out the day. Remember not to use the same fruits or veggies for more than 24 hours.

6. I generally make 2 glasses of this at once in the night, have the same in the morning and again add water to it and have the same in the evening. I store it in the fridge once I am done drinking one batch.

We all know drinking more water is great for our body, so why not make it tasty!!
