All about Dry Shampoo

Hello everyone!

We all don't really like second or third day hair. The day when we wash our hair, it feels so great. But second or third day, the scalp starts to become oily and hence the hair also becomes oily.

Although we can keep washing our hair third day again, washing hair so many times is not good for hair health. You should ideally wash your hair twice or maximum thrice a week.

There are many other ways to deal with second or third day hair.

Have you ever heard about a Dry Shampoo.Let's discuss it here.
What is a Dry Shampoo?
It is shampoo in a powder form, to be used without addition of water or to be used on dry hair. It absorbs all the oil and grease from your hair giving an instant feel of freshness.

How to use?
1. You need to spray dry shampoo on dry hair keeping distance of at least 6 inches from your scalp. Spray it in those areas where your hair tends to get more oily.

2. Keep on spraying as you go and spreading it evenly on your scalp. Always remember less is more. Don't spray too much at a time.

3. Don't get scared if it leaves a white residue on your hair, it will vanish slowly as you spread it evenly.

4. It will take a couple of minutes to absorb the oil from your hair.  Once you have spread it evenly, you can style your hair the way you want.

Pros:
1. Dry shampoo comes handy dandy when you are in a rush and do not have time to wash your hair.
2. It also adds volume to your hair
3. Washing your hair daily is not a good idea, so its better to use a dry shampoo instead and save time and your hair as well.
4. It removes grease and oil from your scalp and makes your hair look fresh instantly

Cons:
1. Do no consider dry shampoo as a replacement to washing your hair.
2. It removes oil from your scalp but of course not as efficiently as hair washing
3. If you have dandruff  problem or dry hair, its better to avoid dry shampoo
4. Choose wisely, select a dry shampoo from good and known brand rather than going for cheap options
5. Some dry shampoos can leave white residue on hair making it look dull
6. If not applied properly, it can look dull

Verdict:
Honestly, use dry shampoo only when you need to, don't use it on regular basis. I use it only when I am too lazy to wash my hair or when I am in rush and do not have time to wash my hair.

See you next time!
